Joseph Stalin-“Death is the solution to all problems. No man - no problem.” ("Joseph Stalin Quotes," n.d.)
A great leader but a horrible one.
Joseph Stalin was the great leader of the Soviet Union. This “futurist leader” came from “a Georgian Village of Gori in the southern part of the Russian Empire”.("Joseph Stalin," n.d.)
Stalin came from a poor family where his dad was a shoe maker, and his mother was a “domestic servant”. Stalin has a permanent scar on his left cheek since he had chicken pox when he was younger. Stalin graduated in a church school and later won a small scholarship and went to Tiflis Theological Seminary. ("Joseph Stalin (1879-1953)") arl Marx’s Communism Manifesto was very popular around Stalin’s youth. After Stalin had graduated from Tiflis Theological Seminary, he applied for a job as an accountant at the Tiflis Observatory. He gave his first political speech which attracted 200 workers in 23rd, April, 1900 and it was all about Karl Marx’s theory. Even though the Soviet Union had collapsed for so long, he was still very famous and was greatly respected. Stalin was a great dictator of the USSR and was one of those mass murderers in human history. Hitler and Stalin were both very similar in terms of personality. Though they had similar personality, they hated each other since one was for Communism and one was for National Socialist. Even though, they used the same “method” to get up the spot of the party. They were in different situations. Hitler had several enemies during the time because there were different parties in Germany. However, Stalin had only one enemy which was Trotsky. Leon Trotsky was one of leader in the Bolsheviks Government. The reason why the Red Army won in the civil war is because the leadership of Lenin and Trotsky. Surprisingly, Lenin died, but before he pass away, he warned everyone in the Bolshevik Government that Stalin will be a threat to them in the future. Hence there was the existence of The Great Purge. George Orwell used a wild boar to represent Stalin was because Stalin was a scary person and a boar would absolutely fit this character. Orwell fitted the trials of animals confessing which was exactly the same when Stalin killed the old Bolsheviks government with his secret police. I think that the way Orwell wrote could be twist since anyone that learnt the Russian Revolution could easily spot that the event described in the story is an important event in the Russian Revolution.("Joseph Stalin (1879-1953)")
